Taurine is perfumey. It's why Rockstar sugar free tastes like frankincense. I wouldn't give it to the baby Jesus. What's weird is that it is an amino acid (protein) made naturally by the liver, and aids muscle contractions. Why would I want to drink that?

Knowing you Red, I'm sure you have a definitive answer to this; how do you know it's the taurine that tastes so bad, and not one of the other dozens additives?

I love energy drinks. The only thing that I would ask is that they hide the taste of taurine. It's vile in large drinks. It would be exponentially worse in a concentrated drink.

That sounds like a lot of B6 but the RDA for B6 is almost laughably low (1.3 - 1.7 basically) and toxicity doesn't really become an issue for healthy people until you are near 500 mg.

The caffeine and the guarana are more an issue. But really, probably no worse than drinking a triple latte.

I find energy drinks nasty tasting and frankly a waste of money. Basically, a couple packets of sugar, a couple cups of coffee (both free at most job places), a good b-vitamin (a few bucks for a couple months worth at any drugstore or even walmart)and a ginseng supplement (ditto) and that's what you are shelling out a couple bucks a pop for. If you want to cut down on refined sugar, eat a piece or two of fruit instead.

Something you could do up yourself for like a quarter or less per day. Plus that way you get to skip all the artificial flavors and colors.

Just my opinion, though.
